Annual Animal Welfare Statistics
Every year the national soceity publish statistical information to enable the public to view the work being carried out by the charity that would only be possible with their continued support.
2010 STATISTICS
- the Inspectorate investigated 160,000 cases of suspected cruelty
- 1.1 million telephone calls were made to the call centre
- 64,086 animals were succesfully rehomed
- 210,970 animals were treated and helped in our hospitals and clinics
- we microchipped 67,388 animals
- spent £4 million on veterinary health care
- admitted 16,429 wildlife casualties into our 4 wildlife centres
- rescued and collected 130,033 animals
