Home Visiting
We currently do not have any spaces for new home visitors for the branch.
Home Visitors are volunteers trained by the RSPCA to meet with potential adopters in their private homes. This meeting is designed to allow the RSPCA an opportunity to;
- meet the whole family and verify the information provided during the adoption application process
- check the family are aware of what they are taking on and allow time to reconsider
- answer any questions about the adoption process
- provide channels for seeking pet care advice and responsible pet ownership
- ensure that the home is suitable and safe for the animal's arrival
Home visiting is an essential step in the adoption process helping the RSPCA to find suitable, long term homes for animals therefore training courses are run on a regular basis.
