Tinsel

Our branch is a proud supporter of the Lockwood Donkey Sanctuary. A few years ago we decided to sponsor one of their donkeys and chose Tinsel.  

This is Tinsel's story:

"When my lifelong companion died in 2007 I went to Lockwood Donkey Centre. I arrived on Friday the 13th, which proved to be a very lucky day for me! To help take the pressure off my front legs I have to wear special shoes, but that doesn't stop me being an escape artist and making straight to the feed room for extra munchies".
 
Tinsel is part of the Cinderella Scheme as he has a condition called Valgus which is similar to knock knees in humans. This means she is unable to walk without special shoes that need to be changed every 6 weeks.
